Part III: The Silver Transformation and Crafting the Perfect Presentation

As summer rolled into 2024, the project reached a crucial point—turning the brass masters into sterling silver figures. After weeks of delays caused by wildfires in Portugal, Anton at Bali Jewelry Studio finally had the molds in hand. His craftsmanship was key in making sure the sterling silver captures the essence of each figure—Barong, Dewi Sri, Drawapala, Hanoman, and Lion. Every detail was carefully preserved, and each piece carries the Mythical Figures of Bali™ logo engraved on the back, symbolizing both authenticity and artistry.

While Anton worked on the silver, I turned my focus to another critical aspect: the packaging. I wanted it to be more than just a protective box; I wanted it to tell a story, reflect the premium nature of the collection, and provide a full experience for the buyer. Working closely with my partner in Bali, Dian Efendi, who has an eye for design and detail, we came up with the perfect solution—sleek, black cylindrical tubes, embossed with a silver version of the logo that I designed myself, with the help of AI.

The tubes had to be compact, luxurious, and practical for travelers to take back home with ease. Inside, the bracelet is wrapped delicately around a velvet cushion, providing both protection and an elegant presentation. But we didn’t stop there. Understanding the importance of storytelling, Dian and I designed a small, round five-page leaflet that fits neatly inside each tube. This leaflet introduces the buyer to the five figures, explaining the cultural and mythological significance behind each one. It serves as a reminder that this isn’t just jewelry; it’s a piece of Bali’s history, mythology, and spiritual depth.

The packaging process was intricate. We went through several prototypes to find the perfect size, texture, and balance of luxury and practicality. We wanted it to feel special when someone opened the tube, like they were unveiling something meaningful. Dian’s input was crucial in ensuring that every detail, from the velvet cushion to the silver logo on the tube, reflected the brand’s quality and craftsmanship.

With the silver prototypes nearing completion and the packaging finalized, I felt confident that we were heading in the right direction. But there was still one more challenge: bringing The Mythical Figures of Bali™ to the market in a way that aligns with the brand’s values and premium feel.

As we edge closer to the end of 2024, the pieces are finally falling into place. The prototypes are ready, the packaging is stunning, and we’re inching closer to the launch. I’m already planning the next steps—choosing the perfect luxury hotels and shops where these pieces will be sold. More to follow in Part IV...
